Over priced inconsiderate

Posted by dogpus on 9/9/2009

A while ago we took our new kitten to the vets for treatment for ear mites instead of buying the medicine over the counter, the cost for treating this little mite was over $140 as they had to look at a scraping under the microscope to see if the diagnosis was correct, the medicine was not appropriate and hurt the kitten, I bought some over the counter drops and treated him myself.. This is not the only incident we have not been happy with, like the previous client we have used these vets for a number of years and had been very happy with the pricing and service, until they moved and employed a number of very young vets who obviously had no idea of the real world. We have 5 cats and a dog who will be finding a new vet, and thanks to the reviews we think we have found one who won't over charge us.

Overpriced and Rude is Right!

When I first went to this vet they were in their old digs and they were really great. Once they built their new building, the bills skyrocketed and they got snotty and RUDE. We took our dog who is ancient and does not like the vet in for his shots. We waited over an hour for our appointment with our dog upset the whole time and finally we walked out. They called and begged for another shot which we gave them. When we next had to take our dog in, he had gotten into a cholla cactus and had some spines in his mouth that needed to be removed. They wanted over $500.00 and insisted they had to do bloodwork for an additional $100.00. My first visit to this vet was when my dog had over 200 cholla spines in his mouth and paw, they fixed him up and the entire bill was $125. The second cholla incident was 2 years and a new office later and they wanted $600 for a whole lot less cactus spines. They are only interested in jacking up your bill to pay for their fancy office. And RUDE. We refused to pay the price they wanted and demanded our dog be brought up front and they refused to bring him out for over an hour, they kept trying to get us to agree. It got really ugly before they would bring our dog back who was still impaled with the cactus spines and upset and hurt. They are terrible vets who only care about profit.
